Wildness and Wellness – Let your love grow!

Well it is the day of St Valentine and my wee journey into mental health, mindfulness, mediation and yoga have made me think about how my attitude towards these kind of commercial drives have changed. No longer really interested in the sales pressures of ‘proving’ you love someone, I turned to what will give real meaning to this and other milestones throughout life.

My lovely other half and I have decided to use each valentine’s day and anniversary to plant trees and flowers around the cabin. We will try to research native trees and shrubs to Scotland and also one’s which will encourage wildlife of all kinds.

To watch our wee space taking shape and growing with us makes me so happy, genuinely happy. There is something much more meaningful and wonderful to fill this space with nature and wildlife. My heart finally knows how to be happy and when that happens – the chatter of the mind which limits us becomes silent!

“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
